My name is Nika and I am the writer of this hopefully entertaining blog. I am a 17 year old Slovenian girl. I live in the wonderful city of Ljubljana, where I’m attending my third year of High School.
I consider myself a geek because of my love for the Internet, everything computer related, lolcats, blogging and other typically geeky stuff. I enjoy web design (even though I’m not too good at it) and I would like to learn some programming languages (I’m pretty sure (X)HTML and CSS don’t count). I would also like to continue in this direction with my career.
Books are one of my biggest passions, I read tons of them. I think my favourite genres are science fiction and fantasy, but I’ll basically read anything I can get my hands on. I also listen to a lot of music, but my taste changes all the time. Currently I’m into old rock, blues rock and indie pop.
I enjoy travelling a lot and I have a lengthy to-go list. I’ve only been outside Europe once (in Egypt), so I hope I will get to visit other continents soon. I am also quite a fan of sports, especially skiing (absolutely love it) and volleyball (I’ve recently quit playing for a team after 8 years) and ninjutsu (I’ve taken it up this autumn).
Other things you might find me doing are photography (still waiting for a DSLR), watching movies (my to-watch list is getting bigger and bigger), reading blogs (RSS = <3), drinking cocoa, making lists and wasting time on my numerous online accounts (I usually go with one of this usernames: nika, nikica, nictitate or neekah).
